Skylin is a small town in Texas, United States, and the primary location for the first season of the Freeform series Cruel Summer.
The town is inhabited by a plethora of citizens, but changed drastically when Kate Wallis was mysteriously abducted in 1993.

The Summer of 1993, golden girl Kate Wallis mysteriously vanished.
1994[]
In the Summer of 1994, Kate was found in the home of Martin Harris. The town buzzed with news of her safe return, but three months later, Kate revealed in a tell-all interview with Marsha Bailey, that she was found a few months into her kidnapping by a girl she didn't know. She names the girl as Jeanette Turner.
