Vincent "Vince" Fuller is Jeanette Turner and Mallory Higgins's other best friend. He's loyal to his core and continues to stand by Jeannette, even when no one else will.

Early History[]

Vincent Fuller was born in Skylin, Texas. He was raised next door to his childhood best friend Jeanette Turner.

Biography[]

1993[]

Vince was best friends with Mallory Higgins and Jeanette Turner. They celebrated Jeanette's birthday, June 21st, with a trip to the local mall. They discussed their idea to create a list of activities that they had to complete before the end of Summer, though Jeanette was reluctant to do anything illegal or immoral. They teased one another over their preferred choice in movie, before Mallory left for a store. Vince admitted to Jeanette that Mallory asked him to keep her side-tracked while they got her birthday present. When Mallory returned, the duo presented a you go, girl necklace. Jeanette loved the gift and hugged her friends.

From there, they went to Skylin Realty which Jeanette's father owned. They planned to steal a key to an empty property to play and hide-and-seek in. They crafted a rouse that Mallory had to use the bathroom, though she remarked that Greg ws an excellent father though she didn't have much to compare it too. Vince explained that Mallory's father left when she was five, though Mallory interjected that her father was a gambler and an alcoholic. When Mallory returned with the key, the trio biked to 325 Huntington Road, where they stood in front of the house. They debated entering as Jeanette worried that the owner was there since the house had been sold, but Vince was sure it appeared empty. They went inside and elected Jeanette as the seeker. Vince and Mallory hid in the bathroom shower. They heard Jeanette scream a few minutes later as the homeowner had arrived. She distracted the man, Martin Harris, while Vince and Mallory ran out of the home. They waited for Jeanette to leave the home then biked off.[1]

Summer List Activity2

The day of the Garden Club Party, June 26th, Vince, Mallory, and Jeanette went to the local gas station to buy water balloons. While they examined their options, older student Ben Hallowell approached them as he though they might be from his school. The trio explained they're a grade below him, but Vince noted that Skylin High is the only school in town. Ben, now flustered, went to leave though he remarked that shaving cream was more fun for the balloons. The trio was ecstatic over the new idea and that night, they ambushed the party by throwing balloons full of shaving cream at the high-end party goers. They fled the scene and were chased off by adults.[2]

On July 4th, the group gathered to show-off their contributions to list item number nine - steal contraband. Vince had snagged wine from his house, Jeanette rag magazines from her brother, while Mallory stole her mothers marijuana. None of them had ever gotten high before, which added to Vince and Jeanette's reluctance to participate. Mallory reminded them that the list was full of bad things which was the entire point. Greg arrived to tell Mallory she needed to go home as her mother need her. When she left, Jeanette and Vince discussed the weed and how they both agreed it crossed a line. He suggested burying it but she countered they should tear it up and flush it. He wasn't sure if that was a good idea as Mallory would be mad, but she didn't care. She left to flush it while Vince looked through the magazine.

They played Jenga when Mallory returned and asked for the pot back. Jeanette admitted that she flushed it, which left Mallory stunned. She stole it for the list, after all. Jeanette countered that she was trying to help. Mallory was angered that she'd be grounded and stormed off. Vince told Jeanette that he told her this would happen than ran about Mallory.[3]

On July 29th, Vince and Mallory helped Jeanette get ready for another list item - go on a date with someone new. Jeanette had been set up with a boy from their class named Gideon, but was nervous. Mallory assured her that the annual carnival was a great place for first date. She reminded that Jeanette that she and Vince had already finished this item with a double date. Jeanette protested that it wasn't the same as a one-on-one date. Vince joked that it wasn't much of a double since Mallory and her date made out. Mallory sharped turned down the insinuation and hurried them along for the carnival.

Their day the carnival was mostly uneventful, as Vince and Mallory supervised the date between Jeanette and Gideon before they left to do their own thing. The trio reconvened later when Jeanette had ditched Gideon upon taunts by classmates. They walked back to their bikes when Jeanette was called over to Martin Harris's booth. Vince and Mallory hung back while the two talked, but both admitted the situation was weird. Jeanette eventually rejoined her friends and lied that he just wanted her to give Kate's scrunchie back to Kate. Mallory pointed out that Jeanette didn't know Kate Wallis.[4]

On August 15th, the trio headed to the mall where Vince urged the girls to see the final Friday the 13th movie titled Jason Goes To Hell. They passed on the idea but Vince reminded them of list number 14 - sneak into a scary movie. Mallory noted this but countered that number 13, steal something, came first and they had to do everything in order. Jeanette was excused as she already stole Martin Harris's yearbook. Vince planned to shoplift a CD from the mall, but was nervous about doing it alone. Jeanette assured him that she would still be there. She then pointed out that everything Mallory added to the list was illegal. Mallory brushed it off as they stole from big corporations, who budgeted for losses so it was victimless crime. The trio separated as Mallory and Jeanette went to a store so Mallory could shoplift clothes. Vince headed to the record store and stole the CD he wanted. As he exited the store, the alarm went off and Mallory fled the scene instantly. Jeanette panicked and snatched the CD from Vince. She urged him to run which he did reluctantly, while she was arrested by the mall security.

He and Jeanette met up back at her house where he was still shocked she covered for him, but she was fine with it. She found a thrill in almost getting in trouble, yet escaping it. He noted that his stealing days were over. He was bummed over the CD, but she was annoyed that Mallory booked it on them. She was also angry tat Mallory constantly pressured them to do what she wanted without backing down. He agreed that the should talk bad about Mallory when she wasn't there to defend herself. He complimented a shirt she planned to throw out, but she claimed it wasn't "her" anymore.[5]

1994[]

The night of June 21st, 1994, Vince was in his house when he heard a gunshot in the distance. He went outside to investigate and saw Jeanette Turner in her driveway with Jamie Henson. He interrupted to ask if they heard the noise, to which Jamie brushed it off as an engine backfiring. Vince was sure it was a gunshot. Jamie sarcastically welcomed him to Texas and escorted Jeanette to her door while Vince watched in annoyance.

The next afternoon, he and Mallory sat at the swings and Mallory told him that Jeanette had sex with Jamie Henson, and called out a quiet Vince on still being in love with Jeanette. Mallory planned to leave the swings but he protested. She remarked that Jeanette discarded them, but Vince didn't see it that way. Mallory didn't think the town needed another Kate Wallis since they know the sequel won’t be as good as the original especially since the first one sucked.

He and Mallory went to the mall when they saw Jeanette inside a store with Tennille Peterson and Renee Talbot. Mallory entered and made a fuss over seeing Jeanette, while Vince nervously watched. Mallory asked if the girls are her new friends, and the girls shamed Mallory for making her clothes. Mallory congratulated Jeanette on boinking Jamie Henson. She asked Vince if that was on the list. He told her that they should leave but she ignored him. She asked if Renee and Tenielle knew the trio used to hang out, so Jeanette asked for a moment alone with them. She then told Mallory that she doesn’t know what’s going on, but she’s been here and that they pulled away too but if she wants to talk she knows where to find her. She then hugged Mallory, who merely responded that she sounded just like Kate and left. Vince apologized to Jeanette then ran off after Mallory.[1]

On July 4th, Vince went to work at Rent2Nite, a movie store, when Kate Wallis entered in search of a movie. Mallory entered a little later and saw Kate. Kate checked out Silence of the Lambs, Misery, and Groundhog Day. She told Vince that the third film was for her dad. Vince shook it off as nothing as he awkwardly checked out her items. She grabbed the videos and ran out of the store without her change. Vince locked the door behind Kate. He confided in Mallory that the selection of films was weird, but Mallory thought it might be comforting for Kate to see the monsters for a change. She refused to mock Kate which surprised him, as Mallory never disregarded a chance to mock someone. She invited him over as he mother was on a date, but he already had plans. She hoped the plans weren't with Jeanette. He coolly said that he had other friends. Mallory left shortly after and Vince went outside. He got into a van with Ben Hallowell, who asked if Mallory knew what they were doing or where they were going. Vince assured him that she didn't.

As they drove, they talked about Jeanette, and Ben asked if Vince really thought Jeanette was innocent. He assured Vince he could tell him the truth. Vince didn't have to lie for Jeanette because he believed her, so Ben noted that if Vince believed her then so would he - no matter what. They eventually pulled into the driveway of a house. Vince couldn't believe they were actually doing this. Ben remarked that a forum was sure this was the place. He were ready because they had each other.

They entered the house which was decorated in string lights. Romantic music played while same-sex couples danced together. Ben held Vince's hand as they walked onto the dance floor together. Ben knew anything he would say would be a cheesy line, so Vince told him he didn't have to say anything. He slowly put his arms around Ben's neck and they began to slow dance together. At the bar, a bouncer remarked to the bartender, Minna, that the boys were underage. Minna assured the bouncer that it was fine as this was safe space for everyone and to let them dance - she just wouldn't serve them.[3]

1995[]

Vince called Jeanette on June 21st, 1995, to warn her that Jamie Henson was outside her house again. She already knew but Vince worried that Jamie would hurt her. Jeanette didn't seem to care about that. He wished her a happy birthday which she thanked him for reluctantly. She asked if things are ever going to be normal again but he can’t remember when it was. She hung up the phone. He looked outside his window and took photographs of Jamie in the car outside her house. The next morning, he walked down the street when he paused to look at Martin Harris's home, where a reporter discussed the shocking events that happened there one year ago.[1]

Personality[]

Vince is a kind and caring friend who is unwaveringly dedicated to those he cares about, including Jeanette Turner. He is sensible and intellectual, and knows when something is a bad idea and anticipates how others will react. This is evident when he warned Jeanette not to flush Mallory's weed as it would upset her, a fact that proved true.
